Cindy C. Newton has 15 years of finance and treasury experience as a healthcare system executive practitioner. Prior to joining Melio & Company, Cindy was System Director of Banking and Treasury Operations for Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest healthcare system in Texas. Her career in healthcare, coupled with a previous career history in banking and manufacturing, combine to create a unique understanding of complex operational issues and financial transactions and enabled her to drive continuous process improvement in treasury functions, solutions, and operations across the healthcare system.
Cindy was a Huntington Innovation Award finalist for leadership in a vendor-partnered design and implementation of a fully integrated point of service solution with EPIC. She is a speaker at the Association for Financial Professionals Annual Conference, the Healthcare Payments Innovation Conference, the NACHA Payments Conference, and has been a guest lecturer at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University and the McLane College of Business at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Cindy serves on the NACHA Advisory Board, holds memberships with the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Association for Financial Professionals, and recently completed her term of service on the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Corporate Payment Council.
Cindy received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas and studied piano performance at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
